Our Core Principles

Equal and Respectful Interaction

We treat all students, employees, and visitors equally and with respect, regardless

of gender or gender expression. We do not tolerate discrimination, belittlement, or sexual and gender-based harassment under any circumstances.

A safe working environment

We strive to prevent all forms of harassment, bullying, and discrimination. We support an open culture of dialogue and have a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying.

Consideration of life circumstances

We consider our employees’ diverse life circumstances by enabling flexible work arrangements and individualized solutions, as well as by offering workplace well-being services. Our family-friendly approach is reflected in a positive attitude toward various work schedule arrangements and time off that support the balance between work and family life.

Non-discriminatory language and accessible materials

We pay close attention to the use of non-discriminatory language. We use language that respects the dignity of all people and promotes respectful interactions among people of all backgrounds. In addition, we ensure that the materials we produce are accessible. We regularly train and encourage our staff to use non-discriminatory language and create accessible materials.

Professional development

We encourage and support employees in their professional development and career advancement. Various development opportunities are offered equally to all employees. Equal treatment is ensured, for example, through effective performance review practices and by monitoring the use of training funds for development.

High-quality supervisory work

We invest in supervisor work by ensuring comprehensive onboarding and providing ample resources to support it. We regularly organize training for supervisors, and internal services (human resources, IT, communication, etc…) are widely available to them in their daily work.

Pay equity

We ensure pay equity by paying the same wage for the same work in accordance with the collective agreement. We regularly monitor the implementation of pay equity.

We conduct recruitment processes with high quality and consistency, and treat applicants with respect. We evaluate applicants based on their education, experience, skills, and suitability.

High-Quality Orientation

We provide all new employees with comprehensive, high-quality orientation. We ensure consistency in our orientation through a standardized process and extensive support materials.

Gender equality and Non-Discrimination Plans

We have up-to-date gender equality and non-discrimination plans specifically for students and staff. The plans are updated regularly in collaboration with staff and students, during which we select key objectives for the plan’s next period and measures to promote them. We also evaluate the achievement of the previous period’s goals. The plans guide our continuous, goal-oriented, and participatory development work. You can view the plan for students here.
