EU Class Alliance

Bridging Vocational Schools for EU education

The EU Class Alliance is a three-year Jean Monnet project which focuses on increasing awareness and understanding of the European Union in Vocational Education and Training (VET). We aim to increase student participation in society and encourage them to become active EU citizens.

Project duration: 01/11/2024 – 01/11/2027

Objectives

  • Add EU Perspective to Training Programs – Strengthen EU dimension in IVET programmes.
  • Boost Teachers’ Skills – Help teachers learn how to include EU topics and values in their lessons.
  • Increase Students’ EU Knowledge – Build students’ knowledge and awareness of EU citizenship.
  • Build a Strong Network – Connect IVET centres across Europe to create a lasting network for promoting EU citizenship education.

By addressing these themes, we aim to bridge the gap in students’ knowledge of the European Union and strengthen their sense of EU citizenship.

Key activities

  • Training for Teachers: Online sessions, a summer camp, and resource co-creation on topics like sustainability and social inclusion.
  • Student Engagement: Visits to EU institutions, interactive workshops, and ”Eurodays” events with EU experts.
  • Cross-border Collaboration: Joint projects and cultural exchanges among schools across Europe.
  • Resources for Schools: A portfolio of best practices, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
